The Deva River originates in Fuente Dé, passes through potes, crosses the Hermida gorge until it joins the Cares river in Panes. Its waters are crystal clear, abundant and full of fauna.

We only need some instructions and good equipment to enjoy a day descending through the largest river in the Peaks of Europe.

We will choose the one, two or three-seater canoes according to our needs or tastes.

When sailing through the Deva we discover a world full of life. Ducks, herons, cormorants and the famous kingfisher among the birds; Otters, roe deer, foxes, squirrels are also visible and of course, numerous fish, among which trout and salmon stand out.

The descent of the Deva River is the most popular activity that can be practiced in this area of the Picos de Europa.

The canoes are stable, easy to handle and unsinkable in the event of a capsize, ensuring a rewarding and fun-filled day.

The permitted navigation schedule is from 10:30 to 18:00. However, the entry times to start the descent are from 10:30 until 15:30. You must begin your descent within this time window to ensure you enjoy the river safely and comfortably.

Not at all. The Deva River in this section is very gentle and calm. As this is an autonomous activity, you are responsible for steering the canoe, but the river is so friendly that no previous experience or special physical condition is required.

The basics: a swimsuit and footwear that can get wet. We provide a waterproof barrel so you can store your personal belongings, but remember that taking care of your items during the trip is your responsibility.
