{"id":31317,"date":"2017-05-02T17:44:00","date_gmt":"2017-05-02T15:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.canoeaventuratrophy.com\/producto\/canoas-rio-cares\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T12:58:56","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T10:58:56","slug":"canoes-cares","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.canoeaventuratrophy.com\/en\/adventures-europe-peaks\/canoes-cares\/","title":{"rendered":"Canoes Cares"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Cares River<\/strong> rises in Posada de Valde\u00f3n (Le\u00f3n) to cross the famous divine gorge between Ca\u00edn and Poncebos (Asturias), twelve kilometers lined with the path most spectacular and visited of the <strong>Peaks of Europe National Park<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Cares River also passes through \u201cCabrales\u201d, a town known throughout the world for its pic\u00f3n cheese and for being a reference point for climbers and mountaineers. .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But it is the section between Niserias and Panes (where it flows into the Deva River) that we will descend by canoe. <strong>Ten kilometers of crystal clear waters<\/strong> and full of fauna: trout and salmon everywhere; also birds such as ducks, cormorants, herons and kingfishers; without forgetting the elusive otters and squirrels.<\/p>\n<p>At <strong>Panes we choose the canoes<\/strong> that we want to take according to our tastes, with <strong>one, two or three seats<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>descent of the Cares River<\/strong> is becoming a benchmark among Spanish rivers, due to its privileged location, its landscape, its <strong>crystalline waters <\/strong> and its happy currents that entertain without the company of a guide being necessary.<\/p>\n<p>There is a <strong>sailing schedule<\/strong> (11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.), but taking that into account<strong>we can come at any time we want<\/strong>. Upon arrival they welcome us, give us the equipment and instructions, we are ready to begin the <strong>descent of the Cares River<\/strong>, since they do not make groups to assist us and they take us up to Niserias immediately. We will be able to descend at the pace we want, being able to stop at will, to enjoy a good swim. The approximate duration of the descent is three hours for a <strong>ten kilometer route<\/strong>, which ends at the <strong>Canoe Aventura Trophy<\/strong> base in Panes.<\/p>\n<p>The Cares River route is <strong>perfect to enjoy with family or friends<\/strong> as it alternates small currents with quiet areas ideal for swimming or simply sunbathing. The gentle current of the river will accompany you throughout the journey; You will see that paddling is easy and very bearable.<\/p>\n<p>In the <strong>watertight container<\/strong> you will carry anything you think is necessary (camera, cell phone or sun cream&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Remember<\/em><\/strong> to bring a swimsuit, closed-toe shoes and sunscreen. In summer, a neoprene suit is not recommended as it can dehydrate you.
