La Hermida is a beautiful town located in the middle of the largest gorge in Europe<\/strong> that joins the towns of Panes (Asturias) and Potes (Cantabria) )<\/strong>. The mountains that surround it belong to the Peaks of Europe National Park<\/p>\n

A swarm of mountaineers visit the town of La Hermida<\/strong> daily due to its unbeatable location and the wide range of activities that the area offers. The spa<\/strong> and the thermal waters<\/strong> that emerge in the Deva River as it passes through the town also attract a quiet public that needs time to rest.<\/p>\n

The need to respond to the average mountaineer who is attracted to the mountains and wants to enjoy it safely, results in the installation of two V\u00edas Ferratas: \u201cEl Milar\u201d and \u201cLa Hermida\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Via Ferrata \u201cla Hermida\u201d<\/strong> has a elevation difference of four hundred meters<\/strong>. With hardly any approach (journey between the vehicle and the beginning of the route), it consists of iron anchors embedded in the wall that facilitate the ascent. Always tied to a lifeline that prevents falling, we will ascend easily and safely.<\/p>\n

Its Tibetan bridges<\/strong> are a reference in the Via Ferratas of Spain, this being the most popular and recognized. In the first we will step only on one cable and we will have the handrails at shoulder height with the lifeline above our head. The second Tibetan bridge, which is the typical plank bridge with handrails at waist height, is located one hundred meters high and is ninety-five meters long.<\/p>\n

It has a duration<\/strong> of three and a half hours between its vertical section and crossing the bridges, to which we must add half an hour back along a path through a mountain of holm oaks and another thirty minutes along the road that goes down from Bejes to La Hermida.<\/p>\n

The technical difficulties in which the Via Ferratas are rated range from K1, (the simplest) to K5 (the most difficult). The Via Ferrata de la Hermida is classified as K3 of medium technical difficulty<\/strong>, which means that we must have certain knowledge of the progress of this type of route before accessing it, or on the contrary, have guides such as those of Canoe Aventura Trophy<\/strong>, who are in charge at all times of supervising our movements and transmitting to us the security that we will undoubtedly need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
