Between “Fuente De” and “Potes” we find “Los Llanos” , a small cattle town in the Peaks of Europe. Los Llanos is a quiet town with friendly people, good for eating, walking and now also for mountaineering on its via ferrata “los Llanos” or via ferrata “Camaleño”.

Of the three via ferratas that The area offers this is the most suitable in terms of its duration (2.30” hours), demand and scenic beauty.

The via ferrata “Los Llanos” or “Camaleño” with its staple-type anchors, is very vertical and aerial. Feeling at all times the height at which we are, we will enjoy it with the same sensations as a climber.

We will go up easily, being able to enjoy the spectacular views of the Peaks of Europe at all times. The progress is comfortable and continuous throughout the journey when we reach the point where we are offered three alternatives:

The first is to continue along a path similar to the one that has brought us here.
The second is to cross the Tibetan bridge that we have in sight, with a single cable as a floor and two handrails at shoulder height. This is the preferred path for most users.
The third alternative is the most demanding of all, a full-fledged k5, reserved only for experts or experienced clients, as they are steps that require good technical preparation, both physical and psychological.

What is its difficulty level?

This route has a K4 difficulty rating. This means it is a medium-high / difficult via ferrata. It requires good physical condition and arm strength, as it includes very vertical and demanding sections. It is perfect for those looking for a technical challenge.

Where exactly is the meeting point?

Access is very convenient. The meeting point is directly at the base of the via ferrata, located in the village of Camaleño. You can park your vehicle there and begin the approach immediately. We will send you all the booking information via WhatsApp.

How long does the activity last?

The estimated total duration is around 2.5 hours. This includes the time to gear up, the initial safety briefing, the ascent along the wall, and the walk back to the starting point.

What do I need to bring?

It is essential to bring sports footwear with good grip (mountain boots or trekking shoes) and comfortable clothing. You should also bring a backpack to carry your belongings, water, and some food. It is important to keep your hands free during the entire climb.

Is there a minimum age to participate?

What does autonomy mean on a K4 via ferrata?

You are responsible for correctly attaching your carabiners to the lifeline cable at every change. As this is a K4 level route, it is essential to pay attention to safety maneuvers and be aware of your physical endurance on the vertical sections.
