The Deva River originates in Fuente Dé, passes through potes, crosses the Hermida gorge until it joins the Cares river in Panes. Its waters are crystal clear, abundant and full of fauna.

We only need some instructions and good equipment to enjoy a day descending through the largest river in the Picos de Europa.

We will choose the one, two or three-seater canoes according to our needs or tastes.

When sailing through the Deva we discover a world full of life. Ducks, herons, cormorants and the famous kingfisher among the birds; Otters, roe deer, foxes, squirrels are also visible and of course, numerous fish, among which trout and salmon stand out.

The descent of the Deva River is the most popular activity that can be practiced in this area of ​​the Picos de Europa.

The canoes are stable, easy to handle and unsinkable in the event of a capsize, ensuring a rewarding and fun-filled day.

You can come at the time you choose taking into account that there is a navigation schedule (11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.) As soon as you arrive we will welcome you, we will give you the equipment and instructions. You are now ready to begin the descent of the Deva River since we do not make groups to serve you. You can go at the pace you want, being able to stop as you wish and enjoy a good bath. The approximate duration of the descent is three and a half hours for a 14 kilometer route. Upon your arrival in Unquera we will be waiting for you to transfer you back to Panes without you having to wait.

The route is perfect to enjoy with family or friends as it alternates small currents with quiet areas ideal for swimming or simply sunbathing. The gentle current of the river will accompany you throughout the journey; You will see that paddling is easy and very bearable.

In the watertight container you will carry anything you think is necessary (camera, cell phone or sun cream…).

Remember to bring a swimsuit, closed-toe shoes and sunscreen. In summer, a neoprene suit is not recommended as it can dehydrate you. We will only offer it to you if we see that the weather advises it.

If you want a monitor to accompany you you must say so when contracting (at least one day before) and you must know that you will have to be at our facilities at 10:30.

The Deva is a gentle and very fun river, ideal for families and groups of friends. It is not difficult, although we recommend paying attention to the instructions we give you before starting. You will enjoy the trip at your own pace, making all the stops you consider appropriate to swim, sunbathe, or eat the picnic included in the activity.

It depends on your pace and the stops you decide to make. Remember that a very complete picnic is included, which you will enjoy on any of the beautiful beaches along the Deva River. You can take as much time as you like to enjoy the sandwich, chocolate roll, and ½ liter of water. The full route usually takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes. Since you set the pace, you have the freedom to decide as many times as you want where and for how long to stop to swim, sunbathe, and eat the picnic included before reaching the pick-up point.

Of course! Your pet is welcome in the canoe at no extra cost. We only ask that you are responsible for your dog throughout the trip and ensure that both you and your pet enjoy the river safely.

Swimsuit and water shoes. You must be responsible for your belongings throughout the trip. We provide a waterproof container for your personal items, but taking care of them is your responsibility.

There is no minimum age, as long as minors are accompanied by their parents or legal guardians. Wearing a life jacket is mandatory for both children and adults throughout the trip. Since this is an unsupervised activity, minors are under the full responsibility of their accompanying adults.
